**Our Fall 2024 Membership Form will become active during the first week of classes. It can be found on the home page of our website or linked in the bio of our Instagram, @msobears.
**The MSO email roster has been reset. If you have not received an invitation from Connect that says “Join MSO,” you will not receive the weekly emails. Fill out the membership form and pay dues to get this invitation! Please check your junk/spam folders for this invitation.
how do i maintain active member status?
3 general meetings
Must attend 3 of the 6 general meetings each semester (in person)
4 community events
Community events include socials, academic events, fundraisers, wider connections, etc.
Interest meetings count as a community event for new MSO members
15 total service hours
At least 8 hours must come from your cell or FAST
A maximum of 7 outside hours (from MSO special service events, service through other organizations, etc.) are accepted to count towards this 15 hour requirement.
An additional 10 outside hours will be accepted to count towards your “award tier” status.
Example: If you volunteer for 17 hours outside of MSO but do not perform any service hours through your cell, you would not be considered an active member.
Example: If you volunteer for 17 hours outside of MSO and perform the 8 required service hours through your cell, you will be considered an active member and will achieve “bronze” status (20-29 hours).
Be enrolled in at least 12 hours at Baylor.
Maintain a 2.5 GPA with good academic standing.
when are meetings?
Meetings take place every other Wednesday from 7-8pm in-person in Kayser Auditorium of Hankamer Academic Center. Click HERE for instructions for getting to this building. Check social media and emails for any changes to meeting times or locations. There are 6 General Meeting Dates this semester.

During meetings we will have speakers from different pre-health fields, breakout sessions, etc.
how much are dues?
new member $50
returning member $20
on probation $40
Dues are per semester and go towards t-shirts & other merchandise, First Aid/CPR Certification, FAST equipment, banquet/socials, speaker gifts, administrative fees, scholarships, etc.
You can pay dues through our online store or in person at meetings.

Bronze Tier Members pay $15
Silver Tier Members pay $10
Gold Tier Members pay $5
Platinum Tier Members DON’T PAY DUES!
What are the award tiers?
MSO members are recognized for outstanding service at the MSO Banquet each semester. Listed below are the different tier levels.
bronze: 20-29 service hours
silver: 30-39 service hours
gold: 40-49 service hours
platinum: 50+ Service hours
Hours must be MSO accepted service hours with at least 8 hours from your cell and no more than 17 outside hours (not MSO sponsored).
