Committee Positions

Committees are great ways to get involved in leadership within MSO! Freshmen are also encouraged to apply, as two spots in each committee are specially reserved for freshmen general members!

Committee Applications are due TBD.

However, any questions about the committee itself or how to join in a future semester can be directed toward the officer who leads it.

• Fundraising Committee | application due Feb 14th @ 11:59pm

  • The Fundraising Committee of MSO is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all events that raise funds for the organization. As a member of this committee, you are expected to host at least one fundraising event, attend all committee meetings, participate in two additional fundraising events, and maintain good standing by fulfilling all general MSO member requirements.

• Membership Committee | application due Feb 14th @ 11:59pm

  • The Membership Committee consists of 1-2 members who assist the VP of Membership in logging general meeting attendance and community credits. This is a great opportunity to step up as a leader in MSO!

    Only sophomores, juniors, and seniors are eligible to join this committee. Additionally, you must feel comfortable performing basic tasks on Google sheets.

• Media Committee | application due feb 15th @ 11:59pm

  • The Media Committee consists of 4–5 members who support MSO’s mission through creative media outreach and event promotion. Members are expected to attend at least two MSO events per semester, assist with engaging and managing MSO’s social media platforms, collaborate in the creation of an MSO music video to be featured on the official website, and communicate consistently with the Media Chair while remaining active members of MSO.
