The Education Tissue consists of Carver, La Puerta, Mission Waco, and Mayborn Museum.
Carver Middle School Tutoring
In this cell, we work with middle school students at Carver aiding in their after school tutoring program. We help students on a wide variety of subjects and also get to engage in various fun activities. In this cell, we get to engage with great students and build notable connections with growing minds.
**Background check and registration required by Waco ISD. If a volunteer has filled it out previously they do not need to do it again.

M-F 4:15-6:30pm

La Puerta/CWJC
CWJC stands for Christian Women's Job Corps where we aim to provide the opportunity for women to obtain their GED (high school diploma equivalency credential) completely free! Despite the name, this tutoring role is not limited to just women, everybody is welcome. Your role includes tutoring either one-on-one or as a class assistant to one of the teachers!

Mission Waco
Through Mission Waco, members will have the opportunity to tutor WISD students one-on-one and create a fun learning environment.
**A volunteer orientation and background check are required.
Volunteering times:
Children’s Program: Monday-Thursday from 3-5:30pm
Youth Program: Monday-Thursday from 4-6:30pm

Mayborn Museum
During your shift, you’ll get to interact with museum guests and lead hands-on activities. You’ll be in charge of a Spark Cart, teaching visitors about various artifacts throughout the museum. You may also volunteer in the Design Den, helping guests with arts and crafts projects.
**Orientation for new volunteers. Returning volunteers must complete this year's Baylor Release Forms.
